# Antifouling in practice

Antifouling contains active substances (biocides) that prevent fouling on the net. By using customised antifouling from Brynsløkken, you will experience good protection against the type og growth that your site has challenges with. 

 

 

 

The purpose of antifouling is to release a steady stream of biocides over a period of time. Biocides are released in the form of ions and, if used correctly, will not lead to accumulation in the sediments. If too little is discharged, the antifouling will not work properly, and if too much is discharged, the antifouling quickly will run out of biocides and place an innecessary burden on the environment.
